ABOUT CHRONOSWISS

Founded in 1983 by master watchmaker Gerd-Rüdiger Lang, Chronoswiss emerged during the height of the Quartz Crisis with a clear mission: to champion mechanical watchmaking when much of the industry had turned to electronics.

Today, Chronoswiss is a family-owned independent manufacturer headquartered in Lucerne, Switzerland, led by owner & CEO Oliver Ebstein. The brand is known for combining traditional craftsmanship with a modern, non-conformist design language.

A defining hallmark of Chronoswiss is its pioneering role in the Regulator display, a dial layout that separates hours, minutes, and seconds for maximum clarity and visual impact. First introduced serially in the late 1980s, the Regulator remains central to the brand’s identity and innovations.

Chronoswiss watches are instantly recognisable through signature design codes such as the onion crown, coin-edge fluted bezel, straight lugs, and a finely engineered multi-part case construction. Dials frequently showcase artisanal finishing, including guilloché engraving and enamelling, produced in the brand’s Lucerne ateliers.

Chronoswiss’ identity still revolves around its strong visual DNA and commitment to mechanics, now expressed through contemporary collections like the ReSec, Strike Two, and Pulse, alongside iconic pillars such as the Delphis, Opus and Digiteur. All of them showcase the brand’s mechanical depth and bold, modern take on Swiss tradition.
