The new dial gives the watch unmistakable depth and at the same time emphasises its versatility. Its fine sunburst finish creates a subtle play of colours that variegates between the fresh green of young fir trees and the rich, dark hue of older forest flora – a small nod to this watch’s birthplace, Schramberg in Germany’s Black Forest.
 
The designers at Junghans have created a powerful stainless-steel case for the Meister S with water resistance to a depth of 200 meters that ensures a masculine appearance with its diameter of 44 millimetres. The impressive water resistance is guaranteed by the seven-fold screw-down steel case back decorated with a Junghans star, while the robust screw-in crown is protected by two striking flank guards. The satin-finished surface of the case and the polished bezel create visual tension and contribute to the sporty elegance of the Meister S Automatic.
 
The Meister S makes no compromise when it comes to its confident appearance or everyday practicality. The elegant yet robust case houses the reliable automatic Calibre J800.4 with a power reserve of 38 hours. In addition to the time, this movement also displays the date and day of the week, useful additional information. The domed dial is intricately crafted, with individually applied indices coated with luminous material. This environmentally friendly luminous material is also applied to the hour and minute hands, ensuring excellent readability even in the dark. The dial is covered by a domed, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with antireflective coating.
