WITH JUNGHANS’ COLOURFUL NEW LIMITED EDITION 1972 CHRONOSCOPESPORTS EDITION 2026, IT’S EASY TO FORGET THE WINTER DOLDRUMS
Grey was yesterday. Orange, turquoise, and light green are today! The dials of the new 1972 Chronoscope Sports Edition 2026 shine bright and fresh: three colours, three watches, and only 200 examples of each.
These sporty-cool watches offer the perfect start to the new year, but it pays to be fast since the 1972 Chronoscope Sports Edition 2026 is strictly limited. Following the 2024 and 2025 editions, this is the third and most striking set of watches in this series.
In each of these watches, sportiness is complemented by a high-quality appearance with a strikingly designed case and many fine details like the counterclockwise rotating bezel and the crown and pushers whose design fits right in line with the case design. The matte-finished dials have colour-coordinated double stripes running down the middle: the turquoise and green dial variations display a dynamic white double stripe down the middle, while for the orange variant, the vertical double stripe is lacquered black. All dials have the numeral 6 as a racing start number. The historical logo on the dial references Junghans’ traditional connection to historical motor sports is also evident in the design of the colour-coordinated leather straps, which are perforated in the style of traditional sports driver‘s gloves.
Not only are the visuals of the 1972 Chronoscope Sports Edition 2026 sporty, but so is the movement. Quartz Calibre J645.83 powers this watch, offering a chronograph in addition to the date and a 24-hour display. Times can be stopped precisely to one-fifth of a second. The editions feature hands coated with an environmentally friendly white luminous substance, which contrasts wonderfully with the darker dials. This ensures excellent readability both day and night.
