The Blue Company

The Neo has been a successful model in the MeisterSinger collection for 10 years. Its clear, balanced design gives it a 1960s look and feel.

The two-piece case construction, consisting of a middle section and the case back, was particularly typical of this period. In combination with the domed glass, which was popular at the time, the Neo is designed without a bezel, creating an engagingly beautiful look with its narrow case rim and huge dial. This year MeisterSinger is also taking up the new vintage look of the Neo series in the dial colour: The friendly azure blue is reminiscent of the colour often used in American Diners.

Many a road movie or American film from the 1960s features these cool bistros or cafés. They usually had upholstered bench seats in loud colour combinations such as red or turquoise. Simple but very tasty food was served in these dinner booths. The colourful, distinctive and brash style exudes a charm that is still often taken up in modern architecture, interiors, and fashion.

While the small 36 mm variant goes all out in terms of colour, it’s larger 40 mm sibling is more low-key with a black dial and azure accents on the hour markers. An ideal combination for him and her.
